Ganghwa Foreshore Eel is the naturalized eel.

Ganghwa possesses fish farm at its coastal area formed on the foreshore-one of the world’s five greatest foreshores where the eels (sized in 2~3 eels/kg) raised in eel culture ponds in southwestern coast are again bred for at least 75 days to have them completely naturalized.

Ganghwa foreshore eels are raised under the Heaven’s blessing of natural condition.

Being the junction area where fresh water and sea water are gathered and being located at the mouth of Han River, Imjin River and Yeseong River, the Ganghwa County is widely known as the origin of eels. This county is also the origin of glass eels as they are flown from those three rivers. These eels are raised in the foreshore farm filled with shrimp, fry of fishes, crab, etc. Instead of artificial feeds, these eels feed upon natural prey, thus enabling them to suitably adapt to environmental change that exists in the natural condition. Being raised under optimum natural conditions, the Ganghwa foreshore eels are evaluated as exceptional in terms of freshness and taste. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll never forget it.

Ganghwa foreshore eel is thoroughly supervised by Ganghwa County.

The Ganghwa foreshore eel are strictly overseen by a supervisor, throughout the procedure from breeding all the way to delivery. Ganghwa County issues『Ganghwa Foreshore Eel Production Certificate』 to the person who reported his breeding plan for eel only.

Ganghwa foreshore eel provides the taste equivalent to the natural one.

The taste of Ganghwa foreshore eel is no different taste when compared to that of a natural one. It doesn’t have a fishy and muddy smell, and its savory and plain taste is beyond compare to that of other eels. It is best that you try it after broiling with salt in order to fully enjoy its exquisite freshness and taste. Even those people who have had the natural eel many times prefer this Ganghwa foreshore eel, owing to its superbly fresh and savory taste.
