Armiae World

「Armiae World」, the theme space for Ganghwa Moxa opened in March 2009, is formed in the 52,976㎡ area of the Agricultural Technology Center at Samsung-ri Buleun-myeon. 「Armiae」is named with the former part of Artemisia (botanical name of moxa) prefixed to Ae (艾), a Chinese letter, which is currently used to represent that the famous moxa intends to help women who pursue beauty.
Upon entering「Armiae World」 - the theme experience space for Ganghwa Moxa, one can see 「Moxa Well Street」 for the first time. The Moxa restaurant, which specializes in Korean beef cattle, has a decorated interior filled a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. In this restaurant, the visitor can enjoy delicious taste of excellent Korean beef cattle rib meat with moxa, cold noodle with moxa, and other delectable delicacies. Being equipped with 220 seats including an outdoor terrace that offers a great view to the Oepo-ri seashore located far away, the Moxa restaurant is a great deal of attraction especially from the group tourists.
At the 1st floor, a variety of moxa products and exceptional agricultural specialty originated from Ganghwa are being sold. In addition, a chinaware experience room is also operated for the children so they can experience moxa foot bath, Moxa seat device for fumigation, moxa oxygen massage room, and other equipments that utilize the moxa effect.
Beside the building of Moxa Well Street, you can find there the Agriculture Cultural Center, and the「Onsaemomi Park」. The Agriculture Cultural Center is the place where the history of agriculture and up-to-date agricultural technology can be easily learned. On the other hand, the 「Onsaemomi Park」 is a place that derives its appeal from 9,000 yew trees that are planted in maze-like pattern.
The Agriculture Cultural Center is an agricultural exhibition hall that reminds the children about the importance of agriculture.

「Onsaemiro」, which is the name of maze park, is a pure Korean word meaning ‘as it begins not less, not more’. Upon finally finding the exit of maze, one can see a Chosen era’s green house constructed under the design obtained through historical researches. This green house expresses the feature of the ancestors’ scientific agriculture.
Also, there are lawn square prepared for visitors’ relaxation and the factory where Ganghwa Moxa is being produced. By making a prior reservation, a visitor can observe the processing being done in this factory complex where the manufacturing of the products such as wine, liquor, moxa cautery, extract, pill, bread, and beverage made of Ganghwa Moxa is taking place.
